Are you looking to step up your presentation skills? Whether you’re seeking to overcome public speaking nerves, or level up your corporate presentation skills, this one-day course is the perfect opportunity for you.

Lead your audience with confidence in this NIDA training course, where you’ll get practical techniques to leverage your vocal and physical presence and deliver engaging presentations.

Our expert tutors use techniques from the actor’s toolkit to teach you how to shape your content and land your message. This is a creative, fun and practical course designed to gently push you out of your comfort zone, give you control over how you present, and help you learn to love your audience.

Course components

• Examine individual responses to presenting and assess techniques for confident presentations.
• Practise aligning breath and body, skills that allow you to control your presentation style.
• Think outside the box: consider new concepts, structures and content to engage and inspire your audience.
• Set objectives and identify the means by which to secure them.
• Practise short presentations and receive constructive feedback and direction.

Outcomes

• Demonstrate confidence when presenting to audiences of all sizes, including both online and in-person.
• Identify your individual presenting skills strengths and challenges.
• Implement strategies to engage and influence your audience.
• Practise techniques to manage nerves and their impact on your performance.

Delivery style

Face-to-face at training venue
9am–5pm one full day

How to prepare

Please prepare a short two-minute presentation. This may be something you have previous delivered, are soon to deliver, or something you wish to work towards in the future.

We look forward to welcoming you from 8.30 am for tea and coffee. Please make sure you arrive by 8.45 am to ensure a prompt start. It is recommended to wear loose, comfortable clothing to move around in.

Arrival tea and coffee, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided.

Course Fee
