Where is Canberra Theatre Centre?

Canberra Theatre Centre is located in Civic Square on London Circuit, Canberra City.

Where do I park?

The affected off-street car parking areas, which are located near major entertainment venues, are:
• London Circuit (next to the Legislative Assembly and the Canberra Theatre);
• London Circuit and towards Vernon Circle (known as City Hill); and
• Constitution Avenue and towards Parkes Way (opposite the National Convention Centre and the Civic Pool);
• London Circuit (opposite the Sydney Building and next to the Canberra Museum and Gallery).

Extended paid parking hours do not extend to on-street parking areas, such as Allara Street.

Drivers should check ticket machines carefully to ensure they pay the correct fee and abide by any time restrictions.

Parking for The Playhouse is best accessed via London Circuit behind Canberra Museum & Gallery. Parking for Canberra Theatre and The Courtyard Studio is best accessed from the intersection at London Circuit & Constitution Avenue.

Ticket machine options to pay for parking are coins ($2, $1, 50c, 20c, 10c), Visa and Mastercard credit cards and, a smart phone application. ‘Parkmobile’ that is free to download via the App Store and Play Store.

If paying for your parking using the ‘Parkmobile’ app, you do not need to print or display a parking ticket as parking inspectors are able to electronically verify if payment for a session (and vehicle) has been made via the Parkmobile app.

If paying for your parking using coins or credit card, please note that your ticket is not valid unless it is displayed face up on the dashboard of the vehicle, with the expiry time and all other inscriptions visible to a Parking Officer from outside of the car.
Disabled parking

Disabled car parks are located behind the Canberra Museum & Gallery and in front of the ACT Legislative Assembly. Detailed locations can be seen on the map above.
Alternative Parking

As an alternative, we recommend you consider parking at the Canberra Centre. Vehicle access to the Centre is available via Petrie and Cooyong Streets, with pedestrian access via City Walk and Bunda Street.
