Overview

Are you looking to step up your presentation skills? Whether you’re seeking to overcome public speaking nerves, or level up your corporate presentation skills, this one-day course is perfect for you. 

This course will enable you to inspire and captivate your audience by learning practical techniques that will leverage your vocal and physical presence. 

Our experienced tutors use techniques from the actor’s toolkit to teach you how to present confidently so you can land your message. This is a creative, fun and practical course designed to gently push you out of your comfort zone, whilst supporting you to present like a professional and leaving your audience wanting more.

Course Components

  • Identify: Individual responses to presenting and assess techniques for confident presentations 
  • Develop: Aligning breath and body, skills that allow you to control your presentation style.
  • Examine: New concepts, structures and content to engage and inspire your audience.
  • Explore: Individual objectives and identify the means by which to secure them.
  • Plan: Plan and present short presentations and receive constructive feedback and direction.

  • Understand your individual presenting skills strengths and challenges.
  • Demonstrate confidence when presenting to audiences of all sizes, including both online and in-person.
  • Practise strategies to engage and influence your audience.
  • Display your physical and vocal presence and consider how you can positively impact others.
  • Build techniques to manage nerves and their impact on your performance.

 
What to expect on the day 

Please come to your training session prepared to deliver a short, work-related presentation of up to 2 minutes (3 key bullet points only). You may present part of a presentation you have delivered previously, or the opening of a presentation you expect to deliver in the future. Slides are not required. You may use notes if needed or deliver the presentation from memory.   

Catering is included as part of the course, with morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea served for all participants. If you have dietary requirements, please notify us in advance. 

It is advisable to wear loose, comfortable clothing and flat shoes as there may be some movement exercises.
