The challenge
The strategy and operations team at Docusign recognised a need to strengthen their ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across different time zones. With much of their collaboration occurring virtually, the team needed to build rapport quickly, convey ideas clearly, and adapt their communication style to diverse audiences.
The NIDA Corporate Training solution
To address this, Docusign partnered with us to deliver a custom half-day program, The Confident Communicator. Designed for staff who needed to build trust, navigate challenging conversations, and communicate with impact, the program upskilled employees at all levels, equipping them to engage confidently, collaborate across global teams, and make an impact both online and in person.
Our impact
The Confident Communicator program helped Docusign employees identify their individual communication strengths and areas for development, while refining their authentic communication style. They learned to demonstrate confidence and convey expertise, plan effectively for high-stakes interactions, and respond skilfully in the moment. One of the most common learnings from the training was encapsulated by one of the participants:
“The importance in focusing on nonverbal communication: the visual, vocal, verbal to understand best practise.”
The program also explored collaborative communication techniques, equipping participants to engage more effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across diverse teams and global contexts. Not only do these skills play a part in building trust and rapport, the Docusign team were equipped with critical skills to transform ideas into action, representing the values that the organisation stands for.
