Sandy Winton

Sandy joined the NIDA Corporate Team in 2023 after spending over a decade applying his skill set to the corporate space, working primarily as a corporate actor, coach, and facilitator. He loves being able to use the skills he has acquired over the years as an actor and apply them in a practical and beneficial way for others. It gives him great satisfaction to coach others to help them become aware of their own habits and choices in communication, to allow them to be better leaders. Sandy loves bringing his acting skills to life in workshops during role play sessions and his versatility as an actor allows participants to practice challenging conversations in a safe and realistic way.

Sandy graduated from NIDA in 1995 having completed a three-year degree in acting. Since that time, he has had an extensive career both on stage as well as in film and television. He has worked across diverse industries both domestically and internationally over the last 20 years and been involved in roll-outs throughout Australia and the Asia Pacific region. He has expertise in Telecommunications, Finance, Law, Pharmaceuticals and Banking and in the Public Sector including Defence and Transport.

What our clients said

Sandy was so empathetic. l felt safe around him and being vulnerable in our challenging scenarios. He listened and gave constructive feedback which allowed me to look at the situation differently and from the other persons perspective. I gained confidence on this course and believe I now have the tools to become a stronger manager.

NIDA acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we learn and tell stories, the Bidjigal, Gadigal, Dharawal and Dharug peoples, and we pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past and present.
