Macquarie Bank: Presenting with Power

Macquarie Bank: Presenting with Power

About the Organisation

Macquarie Bank is a global financial services group headquartered in Australia, providing banking, advisory, investment, and asset management solutions to individuals, businesses, and institutions worldwide.

The Challenge

The Product Management team at Macquarie Bank wanted to enhance their communication effectiveness, with a focus on presenting confidently and persuasively to senior stakeholders and cross-functional collaborators across hybrid environments.

The NIDA Corporate Training Solution

NIDA Corporate Training provided a custom half-day program to 30 members of the Product Management team at Macquarie Bank. The program was designed to enhance confidence, credibility, and executive presence through a practical, hands-on approach. In an early exercise, participants received constructive feedback on a brief presentation to build self-awareness of their communication style and habits.

The training provided a framework for structuring messages and connecting effectively with any audience, while exploring how voice and body language influence perception and presence.

Participants also received individual coaching in a small group setting. This gave them the opportunity to apply their learning, refine their skills, and strengthen their confidence in a supportive environment.

Our Impact

The Macquarie team walked away with enhanced confidence and a stronger executive presence. The team developed physical and vocal strategies to enhance authority and practical techniques to manage nerves and perform under pressure.

Feedback from participants reflected the value of the one-to-one coaching and feedback. One participants told us that the most valuable component of the training was.

“The one-to-one coaching sessions with practical and live feedback. This iterative approach helped us improve.”
