If you feel you’re being held back by your fear of public speaking, our Public Speaking Intensive is the perfect training course to manage nerves and teach you how to take command of your presentations.
Through NIDA’s unique teaching methods you’ll enjoy a creative and insightful learning experience that encourages a growth mindset. This public speaking course provides opportunities to explore and rehearse over multiple sessions in a safe learning space. You’ll receive guidance from our experienced tutors who use strategies from the performers’ toolkit to help you manage nerves, speak clearly, and shape a memorable speech.
Public Speaking Intensive is taught in an accessible after-work format across four weeks.
This course was previously known as ‘Public Speaking Bootcamp’.
Please come to your training session prepared to deliver a short, work-related presentation of up to 2 minutes (3 key bullet points only). You may present part of a presentation you have delivered previously, or the opening of a presentation you expect to deliver in the future. Slides are not required. You may use notes if needed or deliver the presentation from memory.
It is advisable to wear loose, comfortable clothing and flat shoes as there may be some movement exercises.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the course and check in with the venue staff to let them know you’ve arrived.
If you’re running late please call NIDA Reception – (02) 9697 7600 and they will alert the NIDA Corporate Training team.

Public Speaking Intensive
The thought of speaking in front of a large group used to terrify me. I would instantly decline any opportunity to present. Now, I feel equipped with the tools and confidence to step onto a stage and share my message.
