Online Presentation Skills

Overview

Now, more than ever, online presenting skills are vital to the way we work. Being able to own the screen is a huge personal asset. In this course, you will receive personalised feedback and learn practical tools and techniques to engage your audience. Learn how an actor’s practice can deepen your awareness of what is possible and strengthen your connection with others when presenting online.

Expert NIDA Corporate tutors will take you on a journey across three sessions (2 hours each) exploring the pleasure and the potential of your vocal and physical presence in a digital world. This course is an interactive experience which helps you implement techniques in a supportive environment with personalised feedback relevant to your presentation style.

Online Presentation Skills is a public presentation skills course facilitated by two tutors for up to 10 participants and delivered via Zoom.

This course was previously known as ‘Presenting with Influence Online’.

Course Components

Identify on-screen presentation dynamics and the differences between presenting to an online v’s face-to-face audience.
Develop enhanced personal on-screen presence, including physical and vocal confidence when presenting online.
Examine varying techniques to engage and influence your audience in a virtual environment.
Explore objectives and intentions to engage your online audience.
Plan for successful communication by taking control of the given elements.

What to Expect on the Day

Please come to your training session prepared to deliver a short, work-related presentation of up to 2 minutes (3 key bullet points only). You may present part of a presentation you have delivered previously, or the opening of a presentation you expect to deliver in the future. Slides are not required. You may use notes if needed or deliver the presentation from memory. 

What, why and how delivery in my presentations, voice projection and fig leaf hand placement. These are all things that I have taken away from todays training.
What made me anxious has now given me tools to be able to use with future presentations and workshops and from lunch break onwards I had already started thinking about how I could change my workshops and presentations to improve.
