NIDA x Bass Coast Shire Council
Bass Coast Shire in Victoria, Australia, is renowned for its stunning coastal landscapes and vibrant communities. Committed to sustainable development, the Shire focuses on environmental conservation, community development, economic growth, and infrastructure improvements. Their initiatives include protecting natural habitats, supporting local amenities and community groups, boosting the regional economy through business and tourism, and upgrading transport and public services to meet growing demands.
Recognising the need to enhance their presentation skills, the leadership team at Bass Coast Shire Council sought NIDA Corporate Training to create a customised program for their staff. With a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, improving communication skills was essential for advancing their influence both within the team and in the broader community.
In 2024, Bass Coast Shire staff participated in NIDA Corporate Training’s “Presenting with Impact” program. The training focused on preparing and delivering dynamic presentations, improving physical and vocal presence, managing uncertainty and Q&A sessions, and building confidence. It also fostered team morale and provided an enjoyable, creative environment for refining presentation skills.
Post-training, 100% of participants highly recommended the program and expressed a strong interest in engaging in further training with NIDA.
