Vanessa is a creative and collaborative leader with experience across corporate, government, and arts sectors. She is passionate about developing sustainable and mutually beneficial connections between the arts and business.

Vanessa draws on her experiences in event production, marketing and engagement roles, and as a customer relationship management (CRM) consultant for the global consulting firm, Accenture. Vanessa graduated with Bachelor degrees in Arts (Theatre Studies) and Commerce (International Business) from the Australian National University (ANU), and attended Manchester University to study theatre as a learning medium at the Centre for Applied Theatre Research.

Vanessa worked as a Freelance Producer for Reception: The Musical, which won the award for Best Cabaret at the 2014 Melbourne Fringe Festival Awards. She also supported the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM), and Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) in communications and production management roles respectively. Vanessa was pleased to return to NIDA after volunteering with NIDA’s Open Program in 2008.

Vanessa has a passion for asset-based community development, and is dedicated to ensuring all people have access to education and experiential learning opportunities. She currently manages NIDA Corporate Training's public courses, corporate partnerships, and business development initiatives.
