Course Manager and Training Consultant, NIDA Corporate

Lyn has been course manager with the NIDA Corporate team for seven years. She has run her own business and brings experience and understanding to NIDA Corporate, working with groups and individuals, designing courses, teaching and as a training consultant.

A graduate of NIDA, Lyn has worked as an actress appearing on radio, stage and television. On stage she has appeared with the Old Tote Theatre, Queensland Theatre Company, Melbourne Theatre Company, St Martins Theatre, National Theatre Company and toured Australia in a wide range of productions.

She has appeared in radio plays and had her own radio program. Her television appearances have included Homicide, Division 4, A Country Practice, GP, All Saints, Home and Away, Fireflies and ABC productions.

Lyn is also an experienced director. Some of the productions Lyn has directed include Our Town, Guys and Dolls, Inheritance, Hello Out There and Marty. In association with the Norfolk Island Museum, Lyn worked with writer Peter Clarke on the concept for and direction of the original production of The Trial of the Fifteen, which has now been running continuously for 15 years.

Lyn taught acting to a wide range of participants in the NIDA Open program for 15 years and she currently teaches presentation and communication skills to NIDA fulltime students including directors, designers, writers, properties and objects makers and staging students.
